1.    Will God, the Lord Jehovah stoop

To dwell with man below?

Will He a sinner’s cause take up,

And blessings here bestow?

2.    He will, indeed! Let us proclaim

His promise far and near: —

“Where I record My gracious name,

“I’ll come and bless you there!”

3.    In buildings grand, or humblest spot,

In prison, field, or cave,

Where’er He casts His children’s lot,

There He will come and save!

4.    Fulfill Your promise, gracious Lord,

Fulfill Your promise here. —

With p’wer divine send forth Your Word,

And make Your work appear!
