Blessed Father, our great God, Blessed Christ, eternal Word,

Ever faithful, ever true, Give us grace to honor You.

Surveying the year that’s gone, As another has begun,

Countless are Your mercies past. Let us in Your goodness rest.

Blessed Spirit, Seal of grace, Comforter in Jesus’ place,

Teach us as never before How to magnify our Lord.

Debtors all to sov’reign grace, Teach us how our God to praise.

Tear each idol from our hearts. Rule our lives in every part!

Chosen and redeemed by blood, Children of the living God,

Saved, forgiven, justified, And forever sanctified,

In our baptism we said, “I will live for Christ, my Head.”

Here, we now renew that vow. Savior, come, possess us now!

Father, Son and Holy Ghost, Holy, merciful and just,

What shall we give to our God, For His benefits so good?

Let us take salvation’s cup And to God our hearts lift up.

Sinners saved by sove’reign grace, Give our triune God all praise!
