HOW CAN I COME TO GOD MOST HIGH?

How can I come to God Most High,

A sinner vile and doomed to die?

With sin polluted from my birth,

My noblest works are nothing worth.

My filthy rags of righteousness,

Repulsive to God's holiness,

I cast away and count but dung,

For I have seen the Holy One.

Never could I be justified

But by Christ Jesus crucified:

Only His blood at Calv'ry spilt

Can wash away my sin and guilt.

I cast myself on Christ alone

And trust the work that He has done!

His blood, His blood, His precious blood

Is all my hope of life with God!
