1.    Give thanks, give thanks unto the Lord;

And praise His name with one accord!

The wonders of His grace and pow’r

Extol His goodness every hour!

2.    Let ransomed souls His praise begin,

Sinners redeemed from guilt and sin,

Gathered from north, south, east, and west,

To Christ the Lord, our Sabbath Rest.

3.    While through this wilderness we stray,

Each in his solitary way,

Our Lord, Who bought us with His blood,

Our God, each day proves Himself good.

4.    His providence, from day to day,

His faithfulness and grace display

So let us to our God give thanks, —
