Great God, receive our feeble praise

And hear our humble prayer.

We'll sing of Your amazing grace

And hear Your Word with cheer.

But without You, what can we do?

We're weak and full of sin!

The man who now would speak for You,

Like us, is but a man.

So this is what we ask, our Lord,

With broken, contrite hearts -

"Send down Your Spirit with Your Word:

Speak to our needy hearts.

"Reveal Your Son, the blessed Christ,

In all His saving power.

Let us see, hear and worship Christ,

The Son of God, this hour.

"Let Christ be magnified in all

We think, and say, and do.

Oh, may Your Spirit fall on us,

That we might worship You."
