God's providence is always good

He knows just what we need.

In everlasting wisdom He

All things for us decreed.

No sparrow falls upon the ground

But by my God's decrees.

He raises men to pow'r and then

Removes as He may please.

Both happiness and sorrow come

By my great Father's care,

By Him who has with tender care

Numbered His children's hair!

All things are by my Father's hand

With tender care dispensed!

O let me then, with childlike faith,

Trust His good providence!
