1. Firm as God’s throne they are secure,

Who make the Son of God their trust.

Christ gives to them eternal life—

That’s life which never can be lost!

2. The Shepherd’s honor is at stake,

To whom the Father gave His sheep!

Redeemed, and called, and sealed they are!

Yes, Christ securely keeps His sheep!

3. Though weak and frail we are, we know,

No foes can our poor souls remove
