WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE THE HEAD OF YOUR HOME?

Most men know the Bible teaches that a man is to be the head of his home; and they like that. But very few men know what it means to be the head of their homes. Headship implies authority. That certainly is true. A man's voice must be the voice of authority in his home. But headship also implies responsibility. Every man, before God, is responsible for his household, You are responsible to provide for, protect, and love your wife and children. You are responsible for the worship and behavior of your family. You are responsible for the government and discipline of your children. To be the head of your home is to assume the responsibility of your home.
