THE PREACHER'S THEME
We read of the earliest
preachers in the New Testament that "they ceased not to teach and preach
Jesus Christ." Christ and him crucified their constant theme to all
people, at all times, in all places (Acts 5:42;
8s5, 35; 9:20; 17:3, 18). Let all who
preach follow their example. A preacher who fails to preach Christ is like a
lamp without a light bulbs utterly useless! He may be
a pleasant ornament with which to decorate your religious house, but he is of
absolutely no value to the souls of his hearers. God will not hold that
preacher guiltless in the day of judgment (I Cor. 9:16; Ezek. 33:-7-8).
