Stubborn,
Irrefutable
Statements
Here are seven statements that go to the heart
of Christianity. They cannot be refuted and should not be ignored by any
thoughtful person who cares for his soul.
1.
Either
the Bible is the Word of God, verbally inspired, completely infallible, or it
is not (II Tim.
2.
Either
the Lord God is totally sovereign, absolutely ruling all things, or there is no
God (Psa. 115:3).
3.
Either
God chose whom he will save before the world began, or
he has nothing to do with the salvation of men (Eph. 1:3-6).
4.
Either
all men and women since the fall of Adam are totally depraved, altogether
helpless, spiritually dead sinners, or there is nothing morally and spiritually
wrong with the human race (Eph. 2:1-4).
5.
Either
the Lord Jesus Christ effectually redeemed all for whom he died on the cross
and saves all whom he came to save, or he is a useless failure (Matt. 1:21;
Gal. 3:3).
6.
Either
the Holy Spirit calls sinners from death to life in Christ by irresistible,
almighty grace, or he has no part in the salvation of sinners (Psa. 65:4).
7.
Either
all believers will persevere to the end, being kept and preserved by the power
of God, or none will (John
