We believe in both the preservation of the saints and
the perseverance of the saints, because the scriptures teach both. This is
preservation - "We are kept by the power of God through faith."
"I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish." This is
perseverance - "He that endureth unto the end shall be saved." You
will be saved "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be
not moved away from, the hope of the gospel." Our preservation is the
cause of our perseverance. And our perseverance is the sure result of our
preservation.
