"OUR FATHER"

That man is truly blessed who can, with sincere faith in Christ and confidence toward God, lift up his heart toward heaven and address the eternal God as his Father. Pause a moment, my friends, and consider some of the implications of the fact that Almighty God is "Our Father". If God is our Father, he is such because of his own marvelous grace. He adopted us in eternal election, redeemed us by the blood of his own dear Son, and gave us life by the power of his Spirit. Is God my Father? Then I am pardoned, justified, and accepted by him. Is God my Father? Then I can call upon him in prayer, knowing that he will not withhold any good thing from me. Is God my Father? Then nothing can harm me. Everything in the universe is being manipulated by him for my good. Is God my Father? Then I am an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus Christ. Heaven, and all that it includes, is my final home.

Trusting Jesus Christ alone as my Lord and Savior, I can with confidence address the almighty, eternal God as my Father! "All glory to God, I'm a child of the King'" Are you?
