Few questions are of greater
concern to men and women who are endeavoring to honor God in their lives than
this - How can I know the will of God? Nothing is so
important to the believing heart as knowing and walking in the will of God. We
dare not be presumptuous in this matter. Yet, we who believe can know God's
will and walk in it, not perfectly and absolutely, but sincerely and honestly.
If by the grace of God I sincerely seek the glory of God in all things and
above all things, and live by faith in Christ, following the leadership of his
Spirit and the principles of his Word, endeavoring to serve the interests of
his church and kingdom for the furtherance of the gospel, I will be in the will
of God. It is written, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean
not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall
direct thy paths" (Prov. 3:5-6).
