"THE CARE OF THIS WORLD"

Matthew 13:22

I urge you, my friends, to beware of "the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches." If you give your heart and life to these things, they will ruin your soul. We are all, to one degree or another, busy with and encumbered by the care of this world. The lawful responsibilities and duties of life must not be neglected by us. But we must not allow these things to interfere with our worship of Christ, or our obedience to him. If you are too busy to hear the gospel, too busy to worship God, and too busy to assemble with God's people in the house of worship, YOU ARE TOO BUSY! "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"
