NEW FOCUS Conference – April 2010

 

In the last few years Pastor Don Fortner of Grace Baptist Church, Danville, Kentucky, has visited the UK and preached at several locations, including the Sovereign Grace Conferences we have held here in the South West in Honiton and Sidmouth. In the coming year it has been decided to combine these meetings into one main conference, which it is hoped will prove a focal point for like-minded believers to gather and hear the gospel together.

 

This conference will be held, God willing, both in Egglesburn Baptist Church (Eggleston) and in the village hall at Mickleton, near Barnard Castle, County Durham, as the NEW FOCUS Magazine Sovereign Grace Conference. The conference is expected to be held between Friday 9th April and Sunday 11th April, following a similar format to the previous ‘New Focus’ Magazine Conferences held in 2008 and 2009, opening with a meeting on Friday at 4pm and concluding following lunch at 12:30pm after the Sunday morning service. The Friday and Saturday meetings will be held at the village hall, with the Sunday meeting at Egglesburn Baptist Church.

 

In addition to ministry from Pastor Fortner it is also expected that Ian Potts (Honiton Sovereign Grace Meetings), Allan Jellett (Knebworth Grace Fellowship) and Peter Meney (Egglesburn Baptist Church) will preach and Dr George Ella will deliver an historical lecture (See Free Grace Radio for messages by most of these preachers). A bookstall will be provided by the Christian Bookshop of Ossett.
